Caesarea (/ˌsɛzəˈriːə,ˌsɛsəˈriːə,ˌsiːzəˈriːə/; Hebrew: קֵיסָרְיָה, pronounced [keiˈsaʁja], Keysariya or Qesarya), also transliterated as Keisarya or Qaysaria,[2] is an affluent town in north-central Israel, which was named after the ancient city of Caesarea Maritima situated in the southern part of the town.
